Business models
Own it, or pay only for the units
CAPEX — own the plant
You invest and own the system. Highest lifetime savings; eligible subsidy reduces your cost.
OPEX / RESCO
No upfront investment. The developer owns and runs the plant; you pay only for the solar units used at an agreed tariff.
Group Captive solar PPA
Hold a minority stake in an off-site solar plant and buy its power under captive rules, for larger consumers.
Open Access solar PPA
Buy solar power from an off-site plant through the grid, for eligible HT consumers.
How it works
From audit to a running plant
- 01
Energy audit
We first cut waste — lighting, pumps, AC, power factor — so you don't pay for a bigger plant than you need.
- 02
Solar sizing
System size is the smallest of three limits: shadow-free roof area, your annual consumption and your sanctioned load.
- 03
Proposal
A written proposal with generation, savings at your actual tariff, subsidy if eligible, and CAPEX vs OPEX/PPA comparison.
- 04
Installation
Structure, modules, inverter and protection installed and tested to DISCOM and MNRE norms.
- 05
Net metering
We file and follow up the net-metering application with your DISCOM, with every step documented.
- 06
5-year AMC
Cleaning schedule, inspections and performance monitoring — free for the first five years.
FAQs
Rooftop solar questions
+What is net metering?
A bi-directional meter records units you import from and export to the grid. Under net metering, exported solar units are set off against imported units in your bill, as per your State Electricity Regulatory Commission's regulations. We handle the application with your DISCOM.
+Is there a subsidy for housing societies?
Central financial assistance is available for residential rooftop solar and for housing societies / RWAs for common facilities, subject to scheme eligibility and current MNRE guidelines. Your proposal shows the applicable amount based on the current scheme rules we hold, and we help with the application.
+Can a housing society get finance?
Yes. Financing is available to registered housing societies, and EMI options are available for homes and businesses. The proposal compares paying upfront (CAPEX) with zero-investment OPEX / PPA models.
+What does the 5 years free AMC cover?
Periodic inspection, preventive maintenance and performance checks of the plant for five years after commissioning. The proposal lists the exact scope.
+How long does it take?
Typical sequence: site survey, proposal, approvals, installation and net-metering. Installation itself usually takes days to a few weeks depending on size; the DISCOM net-metering step depends on your DISCOM's process. We give you a timeline in the proposal.
+What is the difference between CAPEX, OPEX and PPA?
CAPEX: you own the plant and keep all savings. OPEX / RESCO: a developer owns the plant on your roof and you pay per solar unit. Group Captive and Open Access PPAs bring solar power from off-site plants to eligible larger consumers.
+How big a system do I need?
It depends on your consumption, roof area and sanctioned load. Use the free bill check for an instant indicative size, or request an assessment.
